Allison Mertz Named Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Youth of the Year
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale recently announced Allison Mertz, a junior at Pinnacle High School and seven-year member at the Thunderbirds Branch, as the organization’s 2015 Youth of the Year. The award was presented to Mertz at the non-profit’s Blue Door Ball which took place at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess raising over $500,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

Carrie Martz, President and CEO of Martz Parsons and longtime friend of Arizona Foothills Magazine, has announced her retirement from the ad agency world after 35 successful years. “Retiring is bittersweet for me,” Martz says. “I’m not walking away from work. I’m saying I’ve accomplished what I set out to do in a career I loved.”Martz started the Martz Agency in 1980 and went on to emply more than 60 people in Scottsdale and Las Vegas.
