TCA1 16MerelyPlayers

Tempe Center for the Arts is kicking off the New Year with an incredible new exhibition Merely Players.

This exhibition will showcase “the artistic talents of local costume makers, the creative diversity of Arizona performing arts organizations and the increasing popularity of cultural events where costumes play an important role”, states TCA Curator, Michelle Nichols Dock. Merely Players examines the idea that “the stage” is a place where performers create a persona transporting audiences to another time and place, such a fascinating concept. Merely Players “explores the vision, process and culminating role that costumes play in creating altered egos on and off the stage”, according to the TCA website. Come and enjoy the Free Public Reception for Merely Players at Tempe Center for the Arts next Friday, January 15th from 6-9pm.
