With temperatures falling don’t miss tonight’s weekly Old Town Scottsdale ArtWalk, featuring a diverse selection of galleries, artist studios, public art, and museums. They also have a wonderful selection of local shops, excellent bars and restaurants that will make for a perfect evening out in Old Town Scottsdale.

Gebert Contemporary Gallery is featuring Tucson based artist, Barbara Rogers with her new body of work. When asked about her most recent work Rogers states, “I try to investigate various systems of order and harmony in what at first appears to be nature’s chaos and to evoke the sublime, to reaffirm the existence of beauty and the critical importance of cherishing the earth.” The artist’s dazzling paintings are on view through November 1st, 2015. Gebert Contemporary specializes in painting, sculpture, photography and video of an international group of artists. They are located at 7160 E. Main Street, Scottsdale. Tilt Gallery showcasing the work of Jim Morris with this latest body of work, A thing or two I know about the Wild West. “The images are shot as transparencies, and replicated on traditional archival photo-chemical papers, matching the original images.” When asked about the work the Morris states, “I photograph little zones that evoke a wistful sense in me, sometimes a gently haunting sense of déjà vu, looking at landscapes in slices, with compositions stacked almost as if they were excavations.” The artist reception and book signing for “A Thing or two I Know about the Wild West” will take place this evening October 15th fro 7-9pm. The Scottsdale Gallery Association in partnership with the City of Scottsdale hosts the ArtWalk every Thursday from 7 pm until 9 pm. The Scottsdale ArtWalk is located along Main Street and Marshall Way in Scottsdale and visitors can ride the Scottsdale Trolley for free until 9 pm!
