Mark your calendar for the upcoming IN FLUX Multi-City Tour happening on Sunday, May 3rd!

What is IN FLUX? IN FLUX brings together local artists and businesses to invigorate public spaces with amazing temporary art installations. Now in its fifth cycle this wonderful program has been providing amazing opportunities for Arizona artists to create site-specific temporary public art installations in a wide variety of locations throughout Arizona. IN FLUX: Cycle 5 has brought together 11 organizations and features 15 installations in 7 cities. IN FLUX Cycle 5 brings together 11 organizations presenting 15 installations by local artists in 7 Valley cities and towns. Most artworks on view November 2014 - October 2015.

Scottsdale features the work of John Tuomisto-Bell, Chelsea Bighorn, Sheetal Shaw, and Kaori Takamura. Mesa features Roy Wasson Valle, Lauren Strohacker and Kendra Sollars, Jake Early, and Rachel Bowditch. GIlbert features the work of Ann Morton. Chandler features the work of Pete Goldlust. Tempe features Kristin Bauer, Nancy McIntosh, and Hugo Medina and Kira Olsen. Glendale features the work of Mary Neubauer. Phoenix features the work of Eric Boos. This incredible group of artists and their artworks will on view through October 2015.

Want an opportunity to see all the artwork created for IN FLUX cycle 5? Well here is the perfect opportunity with Scottsdale Public Art offering a fantastic tour that will take patrons around the valley to check out all of the Cycle 5 temporary artworks, giving background on the work and the local artist that created it! The tour will be stopping in seven cities including Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe. The tour is hosted by Scottsdale Public Art, who manages the IN FLUX initiative with this year's tour beginning at Phoenix Center for the Arts. The wonderful Tania Katan will be the lovely tour guide having previously lead tour for Cycle 2 along with  first-time IN FLUX tour guide, Katie McFadzen! Tickets for the IN FLUX Initiative tour are just $15.50 (plus tax) while supplies last and they do tend to sell out folks! Your ticket it gets you a bus tour around seven cities, a tasty lunch, live music, games, and a chance to win prizes. Tickets can be purchased in person or online at the Scottsdale Performing Arts.
