Renowned East Valley sculptor and multimedia artist Gary Vulcano is bringing his bold and energetic artwork to On The Edge Gallery in Scottsdale this October. Known for his pop art style and mixed media creations, Vulcano continues to gain recognition across the Valley for his expressive, storytelling-driven works. A full-time artist, Vulcano’s portfolio spans metal sculpture, acrylic painting, assemblage, AI-generated pieces, and digital art.

His unique aesthetic bridges the gap between advertising and fine art, resulting in pieces that are both visually dynamic and emotionally resonant. His works often explore contemporary themes and icons, aiming to spark thought and evoke emotion.

“I am excited to exhibit my work at On The Edge Gallery,” Vulcano said. “Through my artwork, I like to spark thought, stir emotion, and have fun doing it. Exhibiting my work in a prominent gallery in Scottsdale means I can share my artwork with more people who will be able to feel the joy I receive when creating my art.”

Vulcano’s journey into the art world followed a successful 45-year career in advertising, where he developed a keen eye for visual storytelling. Since transitioning to full-time artistry, he has exhibited at numerous venues including the Herberger Theater Center, Art Intersection, Shemer Art Center, and FOUND:RE Contemporary. His solo exhibit, expressiveVISIONS, at the Herberger Theater Gallery in 2024 was met with critical acclaim.

To mark the start of the art season, On The Edge Gallery will host a special reception on October 2, from 5-9 p.m., during the Scottsdale Artwalk. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Vulcano and experience his innovative work firsthand. The gallery is located at 7045 E. Main Street, Scottsdale.

Beyond the gallery walls, Vulcano shares his creativity through his “Mighty Metal” program, donating original artworks to children’s nonprofits and charities nationwide.

“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference,” he says.

With a passion for creating accessible and engaging art, Gary Vulcano continues to inspire both seasoned collectors and new art enthusiasts alike. For more, visit ontheedgegallery.com or whitelavametalart.com.
