Fred Tieken has created the “Brainstorm Series” consisting of 16 original works that the artist created while he recovered from a stroke and heart procedure over the last four months. Tieken began photographing the amazing things in his home and studio from patterns in the sunlight, to paint droppings, and collections of artifacts and masks. He would then digitally rework them in the ai environment and manipulate them, resulting in this current collection of work, helping to give the artist reason to continue in life and in art.

These new works incorporate photography, collage, a few strokes of acrylic here and there, all in the form of digital manipulation, printed on archival photo paper. His latest artwork still maintains its expressionistic and painterly style, highlighting personal subjects and experiences through irony and wit. Tieken’s work has been featured in more than 60 juried exhibitions and one-person shows from coast-to-coast. He also has shown in major art fairs including Aqua Art Miami, LA Art Show and Palm Springs Fine Art Fair.

Sabine Meyer Zu Reckendorf is best known for her playful sculptures made from repurposed industrial surplus and materials scavenged from America’s consumer excess. Her work is heavily informed by her education as a designer in Muenster, Germany. She brought those design and fabrication skills back home to freedom-loving California and infused the German quality engineering with fun and color. Years working in the Hollywood movie industry as a special effects technician, prop maker and miniature builder further opened up her skills and led her to develop her own unique style. Influences by Niki de St. Phalle, Jean Tinguely and others can be seen in her use of motors, bold lines and bright colors.
