Meet a self taught artist John Carbis, who creates multiple exposure digital photography with minimal editing, combining vivid colors, patterns and silhouettes that captures the essence and beauty of Phoenix.

Carbis is a skilled photographer who has spent countless hours mastering his skills and  camera. He is able to capture two or three images in succession that are then immediately combined into a single image that is simply stunning and unique. His photography allows him to “Express his individuality by creating something original from my surroundings, finding elements of these images in areas across the city that are not typically considered beautiful”, says Carbis.

Carbis’ photography pushes the viewer to look deeper at their surroundings and discover the beauty it offers to all willing to look a little closer resulting in fascinating imagery of our great city that shed a new light illuminating what Phoenix truly is all about. “His latest series of work draws comparisons of my journey through the streets of Phoenix, to my fascination with astronomy, science, and the exploration of the Universe and I hope to create a dialogue about the connections between science and art”, states Carbis.
