Farmers’ Markets
Shopping the local farmers’ markets not only promotes neighborhood farming and a healthy earth, but it’s a fun way to spend a weekend morning or afternoon too. With Tucson’s fantastic weather, you can make a habit of stocking up on local produce weekly throughout the year. Tucson has some great farmers’ markets including the Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market, which won a spot as one of “America’s Top 10 Famers’ Markets” in Eating Well Magazine; the Civano Farmers’ and Artisans Market located at the Civano Nursery; the Green Valley Village Farmers’ Market offered on Wednesdays; the Tucson Farmers’ Market at St. Philip’s Plaza; and even the University of Arizona Farmers’ Market, offered on Fridays.
