Italy is one of the most romantic vacation spots on the planet—granted, you may not have the extra time to plan a dream vacation this fall, but you can take a weekend night to attend the Tucson Medical Center Foundation’s A Night in Italy. The event will take place this Saturday, Oct. 10, at La Encantada Shopping Center. Best of all? It will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at Tucson Medical Center.

Weekends are all about relaxing and maybe even letting loose—this Saturday night, from 6-9 p.m., you can do just that while helping out a local children’s cause. The TMC Foundation is proud to present A Night in Italy, a unique charity event that feels more like a romantic evening out with your sweetie or a fun and relaxing night with a friend. Located at La Encantada Shopping Center, the event will be outdoors in the perfection of Tucson’s evening fall temps, where you’ll be welcomed into a gorgeous ambiance of twinkling garden lights. Authentic live Italian music will play while you enjoy delicious Italian fare and great wine.

In addition to the entertainment, A Night in Italy will offer a fantastic raffle for guests to bid on as well. The grand prize winner will receive a Napa Valley getaway for two people, complete with accommodations for four days and three nights, airfare and private wine tours with complimentary wine tasting for both people. The total package value for the trip is $2,050 and is valid from Sunday through Thursday, November 2009 through April 2010.

The full package includes:

A one-night stay in a king deluxe room at La Reserve Country Inn, including a nightly wine reception and breakfast.
A two-night stay in a king/Jacuzzi room at Old World Inn, including a nightly wine reception and breakfast.
Round trip airfare from Tucson to Oakland on Southwest Airlines.
Private VIP wine tour and reserve tasting and a signed bottle of 2004 Persistence from Reynolds Family Winery.
Private VIP wine tour and reserve tasting and a bottle of 2006 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon from Vine Cliff Winery.
VIP wine tour and tasting at Hall St. Helena Winery.
Bottle of Chandon Champagne.

All of the money raised at A Night in Italy will go toward a worthwhile cause, with 100 percent being donated to the TMC Foundation’s Children’s Miracle Network. A portion of the money will benefit the Desert Kids Safety program, which provides protection items for children such items as booster seats, bike helmets, gun locks and child identification services. In all, the proceeds will go toward providing ventilators and miniature-sized monitoring equipment in the TMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, overnight chair beds for parents to stay nearby their seriously ill children, isolettes for transporting sick newborn babies and bike helmets for Desert Kids Safety program.

Tickets for the event are $75 per person. For more information on A Night in Italy, call 520.324.3717 or visit www.tmcaz.com/TMCFoundation.
