Description

Healthcare has become a strange landscape where many patients, healthcare workers, and caregivers feel lost. Through voice and the power of stories, is it possible to hear one another and, in the process, better locate ourselves?

Join us as Dr. Jay Baruch reflects on the role of storytelling in navigating the complexities of modern medicine, highlighting how narratives can help us find meaning, connection, and direction in the face of uncertainty.

Jay Baruch, MD, is an emergency physician, author, and professor at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. As a clinician and educator, he explores the intersection of medicine and storytelling, offering insights into the human condition through his narrative essays and fiction. His latest book, Tornado of Life: A Doctor's Journey Through Constraints and Creativity in the ER, delves into the challenges of caring for others amidst uncertainty.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided. All Tucson and surrounding community residents are welcome and invited to attend in person or virtually.
