With the Fourth of July around the corner, that relaxing summer pace has truly begun to set in. Extend the festivities with a visit to the Wigwam while benefiting an exceptionally worthy cause.

The Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa will host a special weekend fundraising event July 9-10, 2010 to honor fallen Phoenix Police Officer Travis Murphy and benefit the Officer Travis Murphy Foundation. Officer Murphy was killed in the line of duty last month.

Friday, July 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa, Front Lawn

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 12 (Proceeds will go to the Foundation)

Enjoy a family-style cookout featuring hamburgers and hotdogs, a live band, dancing, waterslides, SWAT Team display and a raffle. Homemade ice cream, “Thank You” bracelets and t-shirts will also be available for purchase.

Officer Travis Murphy Memorial Weekend Package

With 25 percent of all overnight packages being donated to the Foundation, the Wigwam is offering a $99 room rate for guests who would like to enjoy the full weekend of events and an overnight stay at the resort. Guests booking this weekend package will also be invited to a special poolside breakfast buffet on the morning of Saturday, July 10. $99 rate valid July 9 -10, 2010.
