More than 1,100 guests turned out to cheer on the Board of Visitors’ 2018 Flower Girls, grandchildren of BOV members and professional models - as they took to the runway wearing the latest fashions from Dillard’s. Robert Byram and Greg Denk are pictured above with the grandchildren on the runway donning holiday fashions.
Margaret Beardsley and Kelly Sifferman chaired this very popular and well respected 64 year old event. And the over 1,000 guests l is the norm for this event. That's because BOV is the oldest charitable organization in Arizona. (Margaret and Kelly are pictured below left with BOV chair Karen Kotalik.)
Among those selling raffle tickets were David Rauch and Katie Cummings (both pictured below left.)
Susan Westra will chair next year's event. She's pictured below right with Kristal McGrath and Diane Willian.
Since its inception in 1908, the Board of Visitors has granted more than 19 million dollars to local nonprofit organizations in the greater Phoenix community serving the healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly.
The proceeds from the Fashion Show Luncheon will benefit the community healthcare needs of women, children and the elderly. In 2017, The Board of Visitors donated $762,000 to local charities, including The Board of Visitors Ryan House, Maggie’s Place, Phoenix Rescue Mission, and Barrow Neurological Foundation.
