Why Bret Michaels returns to a Phoenix hospital and why it was an emotional scene. . .
Rocker Bret Michaels was at the hospital again this week- the same Phoenix hospital he was in two years ago after suffering from a brain hemorrhage. However this time, Bret wasn’t rushed in through the emergency room. Nor was he there to have more life saving surgery. This time, a healthy Bret Michaels was there to give back.
"This is an incredible day for me," said Bret as he celebrated the official opening of the hospitality and music room he donated. "Today was a truly remarkable day. I'm thrilled to be able to give something back to the hospital that helped to save my life.”
Bret donated the “Bret Michaels Hospital and Music Room” at Barrow Neurological Hospital at St. Joseph's Hospital. The room features relaxation areas for patients and their families. It’s decorated with a music theme and features many of Bret's personal music memorabilia and inspirational photographs from his life and work. “To be able to construct this area where families can be in comfort during stressful times is an honor,” he added.
Bret says as someone who has spent his fair share of time in hospitals over the past few years, he knows how necessary it is for both patients and their loved ones to have a fun, welcoming place to recharge. “ I designed this music and hospitality room to be that place."
