Kathy's got the real scoop on the Scottsdale 16-acre property with an 8-bedroom luxurious home! 

I can't believe I’m hearing another rumor about John Travolta buying the 15,000 square foot home off of Pima Rd. in north Scottsdale. Even before the luxurious eight bedroom home was for sale there were rumors that John Travolta owned it and lived there. Not true. Not true.

And despite the fact that it was never true - the false gossip continues. (I was particularly disappointed when one very well known socialite told me that she and her husband had just met John Travolta through the interior designer for the house and the actor invited she and her husband over to see his private sanctaury for some wine and cheese. She asked me to keep it hush, hush because John Travolta was considering making appearance at the charity gala she was chairing.)

This Scottsdale home on 16-acres recently sold for $4.6 million 

    Oh well, I’ll overlook the fact that while interviewing Travolta for a movie junket in California - he told me which resort he’s stayed at when he’s been in Phoenix. And despite the other rumors surrounding John Travolta and that Scottsdale house - here are the facts. The house has several unique features such as a zip line, custom built riding train which circles the property, an observatory with a retractable roof and  a 4,700 square foot indoor gym. It was in fact recently sold through an absolute auction for $4.6 million. But the buyer is a Chicago businessman. He and his wife bought it from the former President of the University of Phoenix who built the home in 2001. 

By the way.. John Travolta does live and own an $8 million home in Florida which has a runway for his commercial size jet.
