Down to Earth

The world has been evolving, in recent years, toward organic everything. Organic food and wine, organic cleaning products, organic beauty (sulfates and parabens and genetically-modified soy, oh my!) but my favorite little subdivision of that movement is the organic gems and geodes and thundereggs that people wear now, in addition to their polished stones and precision-cut rocks. Nothing is cooler than Earthy-glam jewelry if you ask me.

Maria's Jewelry Designs is an Etsy shop full of the most beautiful gold and silver and organic-looking jewelry, made (in part) with pieces she found when she traveled to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show (according to her Facebook page). I have several pieces I wear constantly- they're the prettiest stones and 14k gold.
