The creator of this was really on the mark. Who doesn't have major pride for their home state? 

A little dangling Kris Nations State Pendant (in Oregon) comes with me now, wherever I go. And when I touch it I get an insta-rush of Douglas Fir trees and fresh-brewing coffee and the International Rose Garden. And also awkward high school memories.

I Am An Adult

Every bone in my body said "No, Claire. There is not one reason on this great, green Earth that you should buy a Stuffed Boo by Gund, Claire." But as I approached it, sitting on the Urban Outfitters register as I was checking out, and it soon was in a bag on my shoulder.

You would have done it, too. 

It's the perfect replica of everyone's favorite, cushy, soft, adorable puppy Boo. You should take one home to your favorite kid, but you should especially buy yourself one if you're an adult, because you probably need a little Boo essence in your life. He now lives on my kitchen counter.

Alco-Malle-Ic

It's no secret that I'm a Frederic Alco-Malle-ic.  

If you haven't smelled Frederic Malle's library of potent, sensational eau de parfums, you're doing your perfume collection a disservice. Malle essentially curates & publishes scents, none of the fragrances are actually created by him. Each one has a story, too, about why it was named, how it was inspired... they are all genius, to say the least. And they are so high in oil content, you smell delicious...

Down to Earth

The world has been evolving, in recent years, toward organic everything. Organic food and wine, organic cleaning products, organic beauty (sulfates and parabens and genetically-modified soy, oh my!) but my favorite little subdivision of that movement is the organic gems and geodes and thundereggs that people wear now, in addition to their polished stones and precision-cut rocks. Nothing is cooler than Earthy-glam jewelry if you ask me.
