Valleywise Health Foundation’s annual A Night in the Valley gala raised $1,038,652 on Saturday, Oct. 17, beating its fundraising goal to support exceptional patient care at Valleywise Health. Community leaders, philanthropists, physicians and supporters gathered at Creighton University Health Sciences Campus in Phoenix for a Roaring Twenties celebration with live jazz, speakeasy-inspired cocktails and stories of Valleywise’s impact. The evening honored Steve Purves, who retired in October after 13 years as President and CEO and 45 years in health care. It also welcomed Michael White, MD, as Valleywise Health’s new President and CEO. Steve and Mary Anne Purves and Dr. White and his wife, Jolene, served as honorary co-chairs.
