More than 100 people, including Ryan House children with life-limiting conditions and their families along with Micheline Etkin, global ambassador of the International Children's Palliative Care Network (ICPCN.org), had their first-ever experience going to a prom on Saturday, June 2 as Ryan House and Ability 360 Sports & Fitness Center in Phoenix hosted this memorable, one-of-a-kind experience featuring a Candyland-themed event complete with boutonnieres, corsages, prom photos, a photo booth, refreshments, a deejay and more! Local nonprofit, Ryan House which relies 100 percent on community donations and cares for Arizona’s most medically fragile children and their families, is a safe and joyful place where kids can be kids and families can be families. The Ryan House Prom was inspired by its mission to provide everyday childhood experiences to children whose medical conditions make many of these experiences difficult and empowers children to live their best life.
