Much to the delight of NASCAR fans, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stars appeared at Phoenix Raceway for the first time in 2017 when the track hosted an open test session for race teams. 2016 NASCAR Chase contenders including Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth and Austin Dillon participated.
