Jan. 6, 2017. The Arizona Republic Presented the Grand Wine Festival Awards, Reception, and Gala Dinner featuring awards presentations to the best wines in Arizona and a silent auction at CREATE, part of the Arizona Science Center. These awards comprise the “Academy Awards” of Arizona wines. The competition was organized through the Arizona Wine Growers Association. The Republic's Richard Ruelas lead the awards ceremony.
