Aug. 9, 2014. The Phoenix Mercury faced the Minnesota Lynx before a huge noisy crowd at US Airways Center in Phoenix. It was a rough and tumble night under the boards, and a nail biter, as the Phoenix Mercury came out on top over the Minnesota Lynx, 82-80, with a final seconds basket by Diana Taurasi. The Phoenix Mercury lead the WNBA West Conference with 26 wins and 4 losses.
