Phoenix International Raceway held a media event at the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix on Oct. 1, 2013 to announce their upcoming 50th annniversary and unveil their new pace car. Special guests included track president Bryan R. Sperber, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and Tom Sneva, former Indianapolis 500 winner and member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. The famous Phoenix race track held its first race in 1964. Phoenix now hosts two NASCAR race weekends annually. The next exciting race weekend will be November 7-10.
