Payson Looking for Forever Home Four Years After Surviving Parvo

Payson is a four-year-old pittie has a truly remarkable story. This sweet girl entered the Arizona Humane Society’s care in 2021 as a puppy and bravely fought the deadly Parvovirus before finding a loving home.

In a beautiful act of foresight and love, Payson’s owner made a point to enroll her in the Arizona Humane Society’s Continuing Care program, entrusting the shelter to step in and find a new home for the pup should she outlive her or in the event she was unable to keep Payson due to medical incapacity. It is with deep sadness to share that day has come, as Payson’s owner is now facing serious health challenges and is no longer able to care for her beloved companion.

Payson is gentle, goofy and deeply affectionate – always happiest curled up beside her people or soaking up the sun nearby. She does have manageable allergies but she is otherwise thriving and looking forward to living out the rest of her life with a loving family.

Payson’s adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. Visit this gorgeous girl at the Arizona Humane Society's Papago Park Campus or learn more at azhumane.org/adopt to give her the loving forever home she deserves.
