If it looks like Khan is winking at you, that is because she is! This adorably resilient and charming seven-year-old Australian Cattle Dog has been waiting for her forever home at the Arizona Humane Society since March - much too long for such a loving pup.
Sweet Khan came to AHS as an owner surrender when her previous family could no longer care for her. Despite needing an enucleation after her eye could not be treated in the shelter's trauma hospital, Khan's spirit remains unbroken.
Although she can stand to lose a few pounds to get her to a healthier weight, this beauty walks wonderfully on a leash, loves people and is housetrained. Sadly, bigger dogs like Khan have been staying longer on the adoption floor. To help change this, AHS is offering $0 adoptions for dogs 50 pounds and over including this cute pup.
Kind Khan's $0 adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. Visit her at AHS’ Papago Park Campus or learn more at azhumane.org/adopt and give her the loving forever home she deserves.
