If you had the chance to drive a Bugatti at full speed on a long, open stretch of roadway, you’d exceed 100 miles an hour at 1,001 horsepower…and run out of gas within a mere 8 minutes. That’s the epitome of an exotic sports car—one only money can buy.“It feels like a rocket’s pushing you at the back; the ride is surreal,” said Beli Merdovic, Sales Manager at Bentley Scottsdale in Phoenix.
Beli Merdovic had the chance to test-drive a Bugatti and experience its maximum capacity. He’s been in the car biz more than 15 years, and spends his days selling Bentleys, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Rolls Royce, and Bugattis, on the Scottsdale Road dealership.
“I’ve always loved cars…always,” he said.
Of course, a hot, new ride would top any Father’s Dad’s Day list, but for the majority of us, we’ll simply find fast car bliss solely in our dreams. However, you can give your pop a taste of the sweet life this Saturday, June 18th, at Glendale’s free Father's Day Lamborghini Car Show. You can check out a bunch of savvy sports cars at Arrowhead Ranch Plaza, and opt for special deals on your well-deserved dream car.
But for now, you can read your way through only the finest of automobiles, starting with Beli Merdovic’s all-time fave: Bentley.
“It’s a perfect combination of beauty and luxury.”
He says a basic Bentley starts just under $200,000 (chunk change, right?!), but an additional amount of green can buy you just about anything.
The cars come in custom availability—there are countless ways you can design your new mode of transportation. Take Paris Hilton’s ride, for example. The heiress sports a “blingged” out Bentley with both a pink exterior and interior flaunting diamond-lined touches. And just in case she needs to escape the paparazzi, her Bentley baby can top 200 miles an hour.
However, your dad might just consider himself more of a Lamborghini type of guy. Merdovic says the sports car can exceed 217 miles per hour, going zero-60 in 2.8 seconds. And if money grows on trees in your neck of the woods, special order the brand new Lambo model coming to the Phoenix dealership this fall. It starts at $389,000, suicide doors included.
But if your dad is a wannabe James Bond, opt for an Aston Martin. These fast (200+ MPH), elegant cars can exceed 200 miles per hour and can be special ordered starting at $150,000. Or, go with the Buggati, but be ready to fork over some green.
Yes, the exotic ride start at $2 million, but Merdovic says the Bugatti is well worth it. That’s because these babies top 260 miles per hour, going zero-60 at 2.5 seconds.
“They are extremely powerful.”
Merdovic supplies these sexy sports cars to a number of celebrities and local A-list athletes…but he’s not revealing any names.
“Business is booming.”
And only serious buyers can test drive.
