January 2008 (Scottsdale, Ariz.) - Arizona Foothills Magazine is ecstatic to announce the ten ladies chosen for its first annual “Women Who Move the Valley” feature and would like to thank them for their efforts to better the lives of others.

The ten multi-faceted, talented and committed ladies are:
Elizabeth D. Capaldi- University Provost and Executive Vice President of ASU
Ann Meyers Drysdale- General Manager of Phoenix Mercury and Vice President of the Phoenix Suns
Chevy Humphrey- president and CEO of the Arizona Science Center
Dr. Eleonor “Connie” Mariano- former Physician to the President
Carrie Martz- owner of marketing firm The Martz Agency and philanthropist
Darcy Renfro- policy advisor to the Governor for Tourism and Higher Education
Rachel Sacco- President and CEO of Scottsdale Convention and Visitor`s BureauKay Thompson- 2006 Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award winner for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Pamala Plummer Wright- National Executive Director of Not MY Kid.
Mary Beth York- founder of organic beauty line M.B. YorkArizona Foothills Magazine won`t only be celebrating these women through the feature story. They invite all ten women and their special guests to the Ritz-Carlton on Camelback for a January 23 brunch. Compete with an Etoile Champagne bellini bar, Saks Fifth Avenue fashions and special speaker Dena Patton, the first-annual “Women Who Move the Valley” brunch is sure to inspire many to go above and beyond, just like its honorees.
