Rachel Roland is a mom on a mission - exploring beautiful Arizona (and beyond!) with her two little companions, Jeremiah and Sarah, in search of the best restaurants, attractions, and products for you and your children. See what she has in store for your family today!

If you have kids and are in the Phoenix area, chances are great that you've visited the Children's Musuem of Phoenix at least once - it's a fantastic place for your children to learn, play and have an overall great time.   Jeremiah and Sarah particularly love the noodle forest, the race tracks for the cars made from pvc pipe and roller-skate wheels, as well as the art center, where there's always new projects to create!  (And, of course, who can forget that huge, awesome Climber??)

However, sometimes when we visit, I actually am a little envious that I'm not allowed to play - I probably could try, but I'm fairly certain I'd be asked to stop.  That's why I'm so excited for the upcoming event that the Children's Museum of Phoenix is hosting!

How about a play date - for adults only?  The Children's Museum of Phoenix just hosted one in June, and it was so popular and well attended, they've already planned their next one - for September 28th.  This Grown-Up only party is for the kid in all of us - after all, how many times have we said to one another how playing keeps us feeling young?    You can watch a video of highlights from the June playdate here, and it looks like so much fun.

They've added an hour to the event - it will go from 7pm-11pm - and will include a cash bar, swing dance lessons, retro games to play, a huge Atari 2600 Video Game wall, and more!  Several years ago, I attended one of the Children's Museum of Phoenix's fundraisers which was held at the museum after hours.  It was so much fun - but trust me, running around in 4" heels while trying to win a scavenger hunt left me with blisters the next day.  I would recommend leaving those heels at home and opting for more comfortable shoes!

Tickets for the Play Date at the Children's Museum of Phoenix are $15 per person, and the June playdate sold out - so buy yours today!  It's September 28th from 7pm-11pm, and is sure to be a fantastic time.
