Symphony of the Stars Laser Show

Fans of “The Lion King,” “Jurassic Park” and “Star Wars” will be delighted by seeing a laser light show set to the tune of their favorite blockbuster film scores. At 3:30 p.m., the Arizona Science Center will be presenting a state-of-the-art laser light show on the Dorrance Planetarium dome featuring music from Broadway shows, film scores and television shows. Tickets cost $9 in addition to a general admission ticket to the museum.

“Freaky Friday” at Herberger Theater Center

Spend the night imagining life in another person’s shoes at Valley Youth Theatre’s performance of “Freaky Friday.” Adapted from the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, the show takes a fresh spin on a classic by offering the perfect blend of comedic fun and heartfelt emotion. Tickets range from $20.50 to $39.50, and the show will play at Herberger Theater Center until June 30.

Phoenix Conservatory of Music Mini Concert Series

Hear music from various world cultures at the Civic Center branch of the Scottsdale Public Library. From 4 to 5 p.m., the Phoenix Conservatory of Music will perform a concert and audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions after each piece. See a staff person to reserve a ticket.
