With this in mind, Mayo Clinic recently launched the Medallion Program, a personalized health care program that provides direct access to the member’s personal physician 24 hours per day/seven days per week. In response to numerous patient requests for a service that meets their needs in today’s fast-moving world, Mayo Clinic opened the Medallion Program at their private and separate Thunderbird campus in April.

Upon entering Mayo Clinic’s Medallion Program office, you will immediately feel at ease with the spa-inspired design captured in the relaxing and comfortable facility. Designed with warm colors and adorned with distinctive artwork, the Medallion Program office blends luxury with functionality. State-of-the-art treatment rooms and equipment, elegant common areas, and an inviting waiting room featuring free WiFi access and a beverage station greet you on arrival, signaling your retreat into a world where you are cared for with dignity and respect.

Three experienced Mayo Clinic internists are the inaugural physicians in the program: Dr. Dan Echols, Dr. Julia Files and Dr. Marcia Ko. Each physician will limit the size of his or her practice to ensure personalized care. Instead of waiting until appointment schedules are clear, members are able to make appointments quickly, often on a same-day or next-day basis, or discuss their health issues with their personal physician by phone or e-mail.

Further benefits of this elite concierge medical program include timely access to Mayo Clinic specialists, and should the need arise, personal coordination of care at Mayo Clinic Hospital with consultation by your Medallion physician. Additional health management consultations provide access to information and the tools you need to manage your health, as well as personal reminders of necessary preventive care and prescription refills.

Members of this exclusive program will have unprecedented access to their physician even while traveling, as your physician will be available to you by phone, e-mail or fax, no matter where you are. When your physician is not available due to his or her personal travel, one of his or her two colleagues will be available to you. Your physician will let you know if he or she will be unavailable due to personal travel and when he or she will return.
