Founded in 1998 by former Arizona Cardinal, Andre Wadsworth, Impact Church in Scottsdale has exploded in attendance. Originally formed as a Bible Study for Andre’s teammates, Impact Church has become an established church whose popularity is increasing by the day. Located in Scottsdale Airpark, Impact typically attracts a younger, more diverse audience. The services are upbeat and generally centered around celebrating life and feeling wonderful. The church has grown from a Sunday attendance of 200 people to over 1500 in less than two years. In fact, Outreach Magazine recently named Impact one of the 2013 Top Ten Fastest Growing Churches in America. Growing so fast even that they’ve run out of seats more than once! To help with this influx of people, another weekly service has been added on Saturdays at 4pm. “Impact Church is a fun, fast growing, diverse, and family friendly church. We believe that each week should be a God-sized party and we hope people will leave feeling encouraged and inspired!" says Pastor Travis Hearn.
Travis Hearn has also served as chaplain for the Phoenix Suns, Kansas City Royals, and Oakland Athletics. In 2014 he published his first book titled Game Changer, which is centered around 14 simple choices you can make to turn each day into a game changing moment. Travis uses personal accounts of God’s intervention throughout his life and Impact’s life. The book is built on encouraging readers through topics like faith, courage, purpose, character, dreams, and perseverance. The book also includes endorsements from Grant Hill, Jared Dudley, Andre Wadsworth, Danny Gokey and more.
