“Farm to table” dining is making its way to Scottsdale, as construction is underway at Hilton Village on the new Calistro-California Bistro designed by local Architecture firm PHX Architecture.

The first Calistro Bistro, also designed by PHX Architecture, opened its doors in DC Ranch Crossing in 2009 and was an instant neighborhood favorite.  Owner/Executive Chef Devin Walsh saw so much success; he wanted to bring his California Bistro style restaurant to the Paradise Valley area.

The new location will feature an upscale design and updated menu created by Chef Walsh. Calistro’s menu offerings are made in-house from the highest quality ingredients available throughout every season.  Walsh asked the design team for elements and standards of fine dining in a comfortable and approachable neighborhood setting.

PHX Architecture Principal Architect Scott Carson AIA says, “I really enjoyed working with Devin on the first restaurant, he has a clear vision of the type of dining experience he wants to create, and I am having as much fun the second time around.”  Erik Peterson AIA adds, “We are able to take all the best design elements from the first location, and adapt and update them to the new second location.”

Locals in the central and Old Town area of Scottsdale are excited to hear about the new opening in the former Honey Glaze Ham Restaurant location in Hilton Village.

The new location will bring the same “farm to table” mentality as its sister restaurant, and will have a slightly more European feel- with a linear dining area, comfortable lounge bar, and an exceptional outdoor patio complete with cooling and heating for year-round seating.

Calistro caters to all types of diets, including Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Paleo.
