What would we do without Mom? This year, make her Mother’s Day celebration one her taste buds and toes won’t soon forget with the Willow Stream Spa’s Ice Cream Pedicure.

The small group of moms and daughters arrived at the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for pedis and treats. I put this special Mother’s Day celebration together for my daughter, Emme, her girlfriends and their moms. Donning comfy robes, we were pampered from our taste buds to our tootsies. Our day began with Champagne, prickly pear-and-pomegranate smoothies and a delightful lunch, created by Executive Chef Patrick Turcot. Pastry Chef Glenn Chang rounded out the meal with an edible sugar sculpture along with some “pate de fruit” and green tea cookies on wheat grass. After enjoying our lunch in the spa’s open-air atrium, it was pedicure time—and out came the ice cream scoopers. Bath fizzies shaped like ice cream were scooped into our foot baths to calm and soften the feet, followed by a “sherbet” sugar scrub to exfoliate, a “marshmallow” mask and a fresh coat of paint for the piggies.
