Nancy Lewis and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Arizona will receive the Heart of the House Awards at A McNight to Remember Under the Sea Gala, the annual Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix (RMHC) fundraising event, Nov. 11, at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort.
“The simple fact is that the incredible support we receive from both individuals and corporate partners in the community literally touches hundreds of families who stay with us every year,” says RMHC Executive Director Nancy Roach in a press release. “What Nancy Lewis and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Arizona have done for our families and for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix is incredible.”
Lewis served on the RMHC Board of Directors from 1996 to 2002, and she and her husband, Ted, have given generously to RMCH as individuals and through their family foundation, the Ellie and Les Hayt Family Foundation. Among other support, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries of Arizona has been the presenting sponsor for the Pro-Am Golf Tournament since the inaugural event three years ago; donated print, radio and TV advertising; donated furniture and décor to both the Dobson House in 2014 and the Cambridge House remodeling in 2016; volunteered for community service projects and dinners for RMHC families and managed cause-related marketing campaigns benefitting the House. Chris Bates, Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising at La-Z-Boy, currently serves on the RMHC board of directors.
A McNight to Remember Under the Sea Gala begins at 6 p.m. with a hosted cocktail reception, silent auction and raffle. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. with dinner, live auction, the help-a-family appeal and recognition of the 2017 Heart of the House honorees. Immediately following the program, the RMHC Red Shoe Society will host The “Off the Hook” After Party. Dress is black-tie optional. KEZ radio personality Marty Manning and Connie Colla will MC the evening’s events.
Sponsorship opportunities are available beginning at $5,000. Individual tickets are $300 or a table of ten for $3,000. After-party only tickets are $50 each.
