The Saguaros, an Arizona-based philanthropic organization, announced that they raised more than $1 million at their 2024 Niteflite Golf Tournament and Gala fundraiser. Held on November 15 and 16, the two-day event took place at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club and the W Scottsdale in Arizona. All proceeds from the event benefit The Saguaros Children’s Charities Foundation, which provides critical grants to local Arizona children’s charities.
The Niteflite event, which has become one of the most anticipated fundraisers in the Valley, was chaired this year by Tad Crother. Crother, with the support of committee members Simon Assaf, Hunter Fadynich, Alex Lehman, David Stull, and Clayton Wolfe, orchestrated the planning and operations of this large-scale fundraiser.
“We strive every year to make our event bigger and better, and this year’s 'Time Flies' themed Niteflite fundraiser was no exception,” said Crother. “We sold out the golf tournament in record time, and our future-themed gala at the W Scottsdale was incredibly well-received, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and attendees. Their contributions helped us surpass the million-dollar mark—an achievement we’re all incredibly proud of.”
The event’s success was made possible by the support of numerous sponsors, including Associated Sign Company, EVO, POMO Pizza, Schmooze, Paul Martin’s, Call Her Martina, Uchi, Tequila Corrido, Breakthru Beverage, Crescent Crown Distributors, Heineken, Creo Spirits, and Roxx Vodka, among others.
The funds raised directly benefit The Saguaros Children’s Charities Foundation, which aims to improve the lives of children in Arizona through grants and hands-on involvement. Each year, The Saguaros host two major fundraising events – the Niteflite and the Olympiad – helping to raise millions of dollars for local nonprofit organizations.
In addition to their financial contributions, The Saguaros encourage volunteerism and hands-on participation with the children and families their charity partners serve. This commitment to fostering meaningful relationships between volunteers and the organizations they support makes The Saguaros unique among other service organizations in Arizona.
The Saguaros are already planning their next major event: the signature Olympiad spring fundraiser, set to take place on April 18, 2025, at Scottsdale Stadium. In May 2025, The Saguaros will announce the recipients of their 2025 grants, continuing their dedication to supporting Arizona’s children’s charities.
