Phoenix is set to celebrate art with impact as Phoenix Rotary 100 hosts Take Flight 2026, its annual charity art auction dedicated to supporting community programs for youth development and those experiencing homelessness. This year’s auction features more than 50 metal butterfly sculptures, ranging from 12 to 48 inches, each uniquely designed by over 30 area artists. The butterflies, many displayed at the Esplanade on 2501 E. Camelback Road, symbolize transformation and hope for individuals navigating challenging circumstances.
The online auction officially launched March 7 and runs through March 29, allowing art enthusiasts to bid or purchase pieces directly. The event culminates in a bidders’ reception at Shemer Art Center on March 29 from noon to 3 p.m., where attendees can view the sculptures in person, meet the artists, participate in a live butterfly release, and enter a raffle for four themed prizes.

“Arizona is home to an incredible community of artists, and we are honored to partner with so many of them, new and returning, for Take Flight 2026,” said Daniel Capote, chairperson and past club president of Phoenix Rotary 100. “Their creations are both a celebration of artistry and a symbol of our promise to create meaningful change through art.”

Lisa Henning, co-chairperson and board member of Phoenix Rotary Club Charities, added, “We encourage everyone to join us in any way they can: attend, bid, share, and invite a friend. Together, we can unite for good to expand the impact of our work in homelessness and youth development.”
The online bidding closes at 2:45 p.m. on March 29, marking the conclusion of a fundraiser that merges creativity with community impact. Art lovers can participate in the online auction or purchase tickets to the reception at Rotary100.org.
