Phoenix Children’s Asks Community to Step Up to Stop Cancer
Chip into Fight the No. 1 Deadliest Childhood Disease Throughout September

Cancer kills more children than any other disease. At Phoenix Children’s, 430 children were newly diagnosed with cancer in 2019. The hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) had more than 30,602 appointments in 2019, a 35% increase in the past 10 years.

Cancer doesn’t stop during a pandemic, and the need for Phoenix Children’s Hospital to fight this disease is consistent and ongoing. That’s why the Phoenix Children’s is asking the public to Step Up to stop cancer and help raise much-needed funds during September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign brings together individuals and businesses in the Valley to fund critical care at the CCBD, including research, equipment, and patient care. There are many ways you can join the movement to stop childhood cancer.

Donate. #StepUpWithPCH and make a donation of any amount to the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

Fundraise. Start a movement against childhood cancer by getting your family, friends, and colleagues involved, or donate to a friend’s Step Up fundraiser.

Dine or shop. Several Valley businesses are stepping up by donating a portion of proceeds or allowing customers to donate at the register, while other businesses are generously participating as a Partner/Sponsor:
