HomeFabulosity by Corbin Chamberlin › Closet Case: Su Yip Talks Personal Style - Page 2

If any, what advice would you give to others about fashion?
Your personal style can be one of the most dynamic ways of reflecting who you are. Epictetus said: "Know first who you are and then adorn yourself accordingly." You can't go wrong with that.

What article of clothing are you lusting for at the moment?
An easy, architecturally drapey dress from Acne's spring collection. I love their silhouettes and color palettes.

What are six items of clothing no one should be without?
Jeans that fit like a glove, a crisp white shirt, a classic trench coat, a badass leather jacket a la Rick Owens and basics like perfectly slouchy tees and menswear pants. I love what Olivier Theyskens is doing for Theory. These staples can always be kicked up a notch with the right shoes and accessories.

What is the biggest mistake people make when it comes to fashion?
Not staying true to who they are.

What trend(s) do you love at the moment?
I'm not good with trends. They never feel comfortable on me.

In history, fictional or non, what individual has the best style?
I can't really pinpoint an individual with the "best" style because I admire so many styles. I am mostly inspired by street style and everyday people who are able to keep things interesting and push the envelope whilst going about their daily lives. That's real style to me.

Must-have beauty product?
Argan oil. A must when you live in the desert!
