Slightly dampen the section to be chalked with water, styling spray or styling wax. The chalk adheres to styling wax the best.

Always apply chalk down the strand of hair; moving from roots to ends. The more you apply, the more vibrant the color. After applying the Color Bug, shake the hair out to remove any excess chalk.
