Local Chef to Compete on National Game Show

Tune in tonight at 6 p.m MST for the premier of a new head-to-head cookoff show featuring Executive Chef Beau MacMillan (pictured right) of elements restaurant at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. MacMillan will join GSN's (formerly the Game Show Network) newest series, "Beat the Chefs."
Each week, three novice cooks will compete against three professional chefs, whipping-up their favorite dishes to prove that their family recipes are tasty enough for a cash prize.
MacMillan will be joined by Chefs Antonia Lofaso and Jeff Henderson, and celebrity guest judges include Melissa Rycroft, Eric Roberts and "Julie and Julia" author, Julie Powell.

New Tequila Bar Opens in the Valley

Prepare to indulge your senses with a blend of Southwestern, Mexican and Southern cuisine when TQLA, the newest addition to Mesa’s culinary and mixology communities, opens Monday, September 17th at 11 a.m.
TQLA was voted as one of the best Tequila Bars in USA Today, and features a collection oftequilas on tap, hyper-cooled to 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
The food menu will also be using locally sourced and organic products along with a wood fired grill to enhance the flavor profile of its fare.

Local Jeweler Shoots Sexy Ad Campaign
Yesterday, AZFoothills was able to catch up with celebrity jeweler, Jacqueline Nerguizian (pictured center), for a photoshoot in Scottsdale she is compiling with Isaac Jewelers for their new campaign as well as the back cover shoot of our very own Luxury Issue in November.
Three models: Rachel Mortenson, Pani Ghadimi and Jenny Watwood, were laden with diamonds and jewels from Nerguizian's collection, as well as some of Isaac Jewelers' watches, and lit up the room for an all-out shoot that only solidified the age-old statement that diamonds really are a girl's best friend.
