This Memorial Day weekend, experience summer health, style and fun at Outlets at Anthem. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, the center will have a variety of health screenings and activities onsite including Massage Envy chair massages, Vitamin World smoothies, and SpaFly Mobile Spa treatments. Orange Theory Fitness and North Valley Library will also be onsite with activities.

On Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Verrado is throwing a giant House Party to celebrate the opening of the newest phase of the Heritage District. The event, which is free and open to the public, hosts live music in the new parks, local food trucks, plenty of kids’ activities and giveaways. Plus, to keep cool, children can bring swimsuits and towels for the water slides and Slip-N-Slides. Trolleys will transport families around to enjoy all of the activities and visit the parks (like the sports park, swim park and dog park) and new homes built by Meritage Homes, Maracay Homes, Mattamy Homes and Lennar. www.verrado.com.

The need to be able to text a 911 call center has been made more prevalent over the past few years.  The ability to text 911 has been made available today.  Subscribers of AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint will now have the ability to have emergency texts routed to nearby call centers...

Harkins Theatres’ annual kid’s movie program, Summer Movie Fun, is back, starting Monday, May 26. Season tickets are on sale now and are $7 for all 10 movies. (That’s $.70 per movie.) Individual tickets can be purchased on the day of show for $2 each. Doors open at 9 a.m. and all shows begin at 9:45 a.m. The program runs through Friday, August 1.
