Valley Entertainment Venue Launches Discount Pass for Kids
Parents in Arizona struggle all season long finding ways to keep kids cool yet active in the summer months. Well, here is a great idea (and we're sure the kiddos will agree): Uptown Alley, an indoor entertainment venue in Surprise, is launching its Summer Fun Pass for kids 18 and under. Starting Tuesday, May 27, until Friday, Aug. 29, the special discounted pass is free to kids and will get them deals all summer long. To get the pass, a parent or legal guardian must sign up or be a member of Uptown Alley's eClub.

Memorial Day Weekend Blood Drive
United Blood Services and Dunkin’ Donuts are teaming up to increase blood donations around the Memorial Day holiday. Donate at any blood drive or donor center May 24 to 30 and receive a voucher for a half-dozen donuts (valid only at participating metro-Phoenix locations), courtesy of Dunkin’ Donuts. Blood donations can decline by up to 25 percent during holiday weeks, but heavy traffic on the roads and highways can increase the potential for accidents and the need for blood. Dive n Movies and Memorial Day at Phoenix Water Park
This Memorial Day weekend, Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix is inviting all local military, police, fire and EMT to be admitted for free. Plus, up to six immediate family members also get half off admission. The water park will also have fireworks the 24th and 25th.
Then, starting May 29, Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix kicks off the 2014 summer season with its annual Dive ‘n’ Movie events, which were super popular last year. Boy Scouts of America to Host “Court of Honor”

The Boy Scots of America Troop 131 will hold a formal "Court of Honor" on May 27, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Court of Honor will be for the purpose of recognizing and presenting special awards these scouts have earned. Major Jim Lane and his wife Joanne Lane will officiate the evening, with the mayor addressing the youth about the importance of their achievements and how they have effected and bettered the community.
