We wanted to share with all our readers about an exciting event that we were a part of in January that was held at the Phoenix Convention Center. Heather and I were asked to be the co-chairs for The Special Event 2011 Wedding Lunch.  We produced the whole event for over 700 wedding professionals from all over the country. The theme we created was “In Love with Metallics”. We wanted to show industry professionals different metallic elements and how to pair them in your next event.  There were great wedding table designs, a fashion and cake gallery and 7 design galleries. We hope you enjoy all the beautiful work that we will showcase in the next few articles. Today I want to share the details of the entrance, the table designs and the stage design that was debuted to all attendees. All photos shown were shot by Melissa Jill Photography. We hope this inspires you to use metallics in your upcoming events!

Check out how the 28,000 square feet South Ballroom was transformed into a more intimate space. The experience we wanted each guest to feel was one of a real wedding guest. To incorporate all the nine wedding table designs in the vast space we alternated our rows in silver, gold and bronze. The effect of the metallics throughout the space was such a fun element! The lush linens were provided by Graceful Tables, Chameleon Chairs provided locally by Classic Party Rentals and lighting was created by AV Concepts.

The hundreds of floral containers were generously donated by Accent Decor. As guests entered the room, they were able to peruse nine different table settings that showed chargers, stemware, flatware and china donated by Rentals Unlimited. All of these items were specifically picked out to coordinate with all the other gorgeous details of each table design. Candles West donated all the wax luminaries placed on tables and stage.  Celebrations in Paper designed three different sets of table numbers for us.

Sasha Souza, owner of Sasha Souza Events was the keynote speaker for the event. Her presentation on “Sasha’s Favorite Things” showcased some of her personal favorites for weddings, business and brides. The guests were showered with several giveaways which added lots of excitement to the air. Heather and I had lots of fun picking out pieces with Christine from Fresh Wata to design the entire stage set.

The set was casual and was accented by beautiful blue chandeliers!
