Covered in dirt with muddy paws, Ophelia was found in dire straights when she was rescued in December of last year. Thanks to an Arizona Humane Society Emergency Animal Medical Technician, the seven-year-old Siberian Husky was given a second chance at life after she was hit by a car.
Ophelia was treated in the shelter’s trauma hospital where she received a dental and then went into a loving Foster Hero home for continued care until she fully recovered. Although she was hurt and scared while in the Arizona Humane Society’s care, this sweet senior never lost her smile and bright demeanor.
A true testament to the work being done to help homeless pets in our community, Ophelia is a great example of a life saved thanks to the support of animal lovers throughout the Valley. Now, she is looking forward to a life full of long naps, walks full of sniffies and never-ending pets whenever she wants them.
Optimistic Ophelia’s adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip, and a follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital.
