Artist Beth Ames Swartz is the subject of the half-hour long documentary-style film that gives us a glimpse at this important artist, who has been creating artworks that are feminist in nature reflecting upon her interest in the spiritual for over 55 years. She has produced an outstanding body of work that demonstrates a highly developed sense of texture and color while employing a variety of imagery, gestural marks, shapes, and words throughout. Highlights include amazing abstract paintings filled with vibrant colors, patterns and textures that “explore systems of knowledge by translating philosophical concepts into aesthetic visual experiences”, states Swartz.
