Get out of the house, shop local and enjoy the beautiful lights and festivities of the annual holiday Scottsdale ArtWalk tonight December 10th from 6:30-9:30pm in Old Town Scottsdale.

This year’s theme is ‘The Art of Giving’ and the Scottsdale Gallery Association has partnered with the Salvation Army  this holiday season. Don’t miss a strolling Santa, the Grinch and other holiday festivities and as always the evening will feature a diverse selection of galleries, artist studios, public art and museums. Tilt Gallery showcasing “Holiday Edition” featuring a variety of new work and new artists to the Tilt rooster. New additions include Brady Wilks, Linda Parker, re-invented sculptures by Rodgell, new work by casebeer and one of a kind collodion jewelry pieces with different kinds of pendants by Angie Brockey. This wonderful exhibition will open December 3, and be on view until December 30, 2015. They are also hosting a special event for the holidays a “tintype portraiture booth” with tintype photographer Kari Wehrs who will be creating 4 x 3 one of a kind wet plate collodion tin type portraits for just $25 per plate that will be onsite at gallery on Saturday, December 12th from 11 am to 3 pm. Carstens Fine Art is featuring the special event  “Helping the Homeless" featuring the artwork of Alexi Devilliers, who creates Tin Can Art Robots using the proceeds to purchase food to feed the homeless. He and his wife have been feeding the homeless  for the last six years, making 100 meals every single Saturday year round! Support "Holiday Hope" by adopting a robot of your own during "The Art of Giving" Artwalk. The evening will feature live music provided by Flutist Sherry Finzer, food catered by Café Forte as well as the artwork of Cyndy Carstens. Gallery Andrea is featuring Holiday Poinsettia and Miniature Show, a holiday poinsettia show created especially for Christmas by owner and artist Andrea de Kerpely-Zak and daughter Andrea Zakrzewski will also have some of her impressionistic palette knife works of poinsettias on display. They will also be hosting a group miniature show featuring landscape, abstract and still life work. The Scottsdale Gallery Association in partnership with the City of Scottsdale hosts the ArtWalk every Thursday from  6:30 until 9:30 pm. The Scottsdale ArtWalk is located along Main Street and Marshall Way in Scottsdale and visitors can ride the Scottsdale Trolley for free until 9 pm!
