Community Mural DalekThe Belle Art Tower features the new community mural project created with artist, James Marshall (Dalek). The mural is large, covering the wall with a repetition of vibrant and colorfully painted squares. Dalek was the artist who recently created the new vibrant and graphic murals in Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art's Lounge, retail store, and outdoor courtyard. Come and enjoy “Radiate” the current art installation utilizing Latex paint, the existing walls, and some furniture, which is beautiful, bright and engaging! This summer the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art commissioned Dalek to create site-specific art throughout the SMoCA.

Community Mural Painting

Dalek returned to Scottsdale for an exciting Artist Reception on November 7th followed by the making of a new community mural in the Bell Art Tower on Saturday, November 8th. The day was filled with painting squares, people of ages picked up a paintbrush to assist the artist in his design for the mural. It was wonderful seeing the community so excited about art and what a great idea to involve the community in the creation process!
