Head to the SMoCA Lounge Monday, December 8th at 6:30 pm for an evening filled with fascinating discussion on the topic “Drone Wars: Transforming Conflict, Law, and Policy” and a book signing.

The discussion will feature theco-editors Peter Bergen and Daniel Rothenberg. They will explore the use of drones both present and future as they reflect on the implications and ethics, which are involved with this sensitive topic. “Drone Wars: Transforming Conflict, Law, and Policy published by the Cambridge University Press, presents a series of essays by legal scholars, journalists, government officials, military analysts, social scientists, and foreign policy experts” states SMoCA. A little about these editors Peter L. Bergen is the author of four books about al-Qaeda, as well as a print, television, and web journalist; and documentary producer. He is the director of the national security program at the New America Foundation in Washington and CNN's national security analyst. Daniel Rothenberg is Professor of Practice in the School of Politics and Global Studies and the Lincoln Fellow for Ethics and International Human Rights Law at Arizona State University.
