Ask, and you shall receive! Wish Ball 2009 was held April 17, and raised $400,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a nonprofit that grants wishes to Arizona children with life-threatening diseases to bring hope, strength and joy to their families. The ball celebrated Superheroes this year, and was held at the Biltmore Resort and Spa. More than 650 guests attended, including VIP honorary chairs Kurt and Brenda Warner, Senator Jon and Mrs, Kyl, Paul Westphal, Tom Chambers, Jim Treliving and two co-founders of MAW, Frank Shankwitz and Linda Pauling. Guests enjoyed live performances by the Valley Youth Theatre and the Chadwicks. The live and silent auctions raised more than $80,000 for the organization.
