In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Independent Woman Luncheon (IWL), Phoenix Art Museum honored inaugural IWL chair and founder Ellen Katz and welcomed celebrity interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard as keynote speaker at the Independent Woman Luncheon on March 2. One of the Valley’s most beloved philanthropic events, the annual Luncheon celebrates members of the Valley’s premier design community, who come together each year to support the Museum’s exhibitions and education programs and create signature, one-of-a-kind centerpieces for the occasion. This year’s sold-out event welcomed more than 500 guests and grossed nearly $350,000 in support of the Museum, with efforts led by a committee consisting of co-chairs Lisa Portigal and Libby Cohen; committee members George Abrams, Molly Dalton, and Katie Drost; and honorary committee advisor Matthew Boland.
