Feb. 20, 2019. Medieval Times celebrated a significant milestone in its construction progress with a topping out ceremony at its 10th castle coming to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Talking Stick Entertainment District. Since breaking ground in April 2018, construction has been underway, and the final piece of steel was raised and placed on the 80,000 square foot castle. The Medieval Times team, along with representatives from project partners, Whiting Turner and Cunningham Architects, and members from the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian community signed the final piece of steel and gave it their official blessing. As a long-held tradition, Knights of the castle held a ceremonial duel and sword fight demonstration.
